Honeysuckle Bridal Set Pattern

When mid-summer rolls around down South, most flowering plants take a vacation. Where lesser flowers fail, honeysuckle thrives, gracing trellises through the dog days of summer.

This bridal set was inspired by golden John Clayton honeysuckle twining in latticework. This lovely flower is a true Virginia native, first identified in the churchyard of Gloucester’s historic 17th century Abingdon Episcopal Church.

The sparkling rystals that adorn the bag and gloves evoke the perfect droplets of nectar that give honeysuckle its name. The blooms can be knit to match the bouquet. In any color, the set adds a feminine floral touch to a lucky bride’s wedding day.
